I realize he’s a bit ethically-challenged and he coaches Liberty, but I give a lot of credit to Hugh Freeze. He had just lost a tough game to UConn and Coach Mora had already been doused once.

While Mora was being chased with a second bucket, Coach Freeze waited patiently to congratulate Coach Mora, even squeaking out a smile in the process.

Here’s to you, Coach Freeze. Well played.

Hugh Freeze is the most overrated coach in college football. Failed in the SEC and is seeing "success" at Liberty because of insane amounts of institutional support

I disagre. He is effective. He was fired for calling an escort service not for results on the field. In all of his other stops he did well too. Wikipedia is free.

Freeze is a sleeze but he is a great coach. Him “failing” in the SEC was going 8-5 with a 10-2 season mixed in there. Everyone fails in the SEC if you don’t beat Bama lol

He was a slime ball of Pitino propotions. He got fired (well technically he resigned) by an SEC school for violating the morals clause in his contract. I mean, really? But he is a very good football coach.

Agreed, but boy did he dissemble when asked about that 4th down fail that got us back in the game.
Big time brain Freeze. Must've been channeling his inner Pete Carroll.

He’s a very good coach, he’s been slimy at times, he was gracious in defeat and he messed up that 4th down.

I seem to remember him coaching a game when he was ill. He was in a hospital bed up in the press box area.
