Im shocked. I think that is very strange, especially since you have to figure Calhoun would be there for the ceremony anyway. As soon as it was announced that Ray was being inducted, I figured it was a guarantee that Calhoun would be his presenter. And like others have said, its not like you have to choose just one person either...

Ray’s probably gonna give a good portion of his induction speech to Calhoun so if he introduced him it would be overkill.

I'm pretty sure that the current deal is that the presenter just walks up on stage and and stands behind the inductee. IIRC that's how it worked with Lobo and Auriemma.

That is correct. Lobo even joked that it was her chance to get back at Geno because there was nothing he could say.

So basically, Jimmy 1) couldn't talk and 2) has to stand behind Ray while he does his speech. That's lose lose for JC given his health issues, and the fact that he's a gasbag.

Actually JC is looking very healthy lately. Either the years off or the St. Joe's gig (probably both) have done wonders for him.

But his knees and hips are definitely a problem, so standing for a period of time like that would be a net negative.
