For those of us lucky enough to have any power. Will be strange to see him play for the Heat.

I'm a C's fan and Ray can't score enough in this game to make me happy. Funny Ray was the kind of player I liked as a Celt and even Garnett was until I realized he was a d**k............But Rondo, while real good, is strange and I never felt a huge connection with Pierce as a fan. Nice player for sure but something about him........Ray was why I watched the Celts as I haven't liked the NBA all that much since the Larry days for whatever reason.......with Ray gone I doubt I watch half as many this year........we'll see!!

I became a Celtics fan when Ray arrived. As a kid I was a Laker fan and hated the Celtics. I lost interest when Showtime was over. I think the same will happen now. Just nothing in my heart for the C's with Ray gone. I like NBA basketball but no particular organization seems to garner my lifelong allegiance.

I was a Celt's fan during the Bill Russel days. couldn't care less about them after that, until Ray want there. Nowadays, I just root root for the team with more Huskies on it, although I do kinda like the Thunder. And hey, they have a Husky again!

Maybe you understand the way I see it then RichZ.......brought up to watch the Hondo, Sam Jones, KC, Bailey Howell, Satch then on to Jo Jo, Big Red then Larry etc etc.....NBA hasn't been the same to me since thise days at least!! Like you watch some games for Husky highlights and Ray made it worth it again but now.....who knows!

You sound like quite a Celtics fan.

I will root for Ray but I want the Celtics to pound the Heat as I dislike them as much as the Lakers.

Same here. I usually just root for certain players, obviously all the UConn guys and other ones like Durant and Bryant. When the playoffs come, I root for teams that are fun to watch, like the Thunder.

Ray gives KG a warm shoulder tap on his way into the game, KG gives him the cold shoulder evil eye. A**hole. Ray answers with a 3.

Ray knew KG would react like that. That's why he was smiling when he did it. He knows KG is just a big phony.

KG is just pandering to Boston fans so they hold him in high regard as his career winds down. He figures that he can be a Bean Town hero if he acts deeply loyal. Reality is, KG is done in Boston when his contract is up and he'll retire. Ray was in a different situation. His contract was up and he was still averaging 15ppg getting scraps. As Ray showed in 2 minutes on the floor, he can still score 20ppg with minimal touches if given the ball. If he is healthy, Ray will do great in Miami.

I never had a favorite NBA team either. I always root for the UConn guys and want to see them do well. Ray is in great shape and he takes care of himself. He could easily stick around for a few more years. Also KG is a jerk. Remember when he had that little dust up with Villanueva a couple years ago?

KG is a fake tough guy, he will only go after guys that wont fight back, and if they do he will play all innocent like I didnt do anything. At least when Dennis Rodman went after guys he would go after anyone and that included Oakley, Malone, Cartwright, etc.

LOL, that post is too ridiculous for words.

Everything in my post is dead on. KG is a known loud mouth, Ray averaged 14.2 last year on a bum ankle in a diminished role and he had 19/2/2 last night on 5-7 from the field. He looked healthy and rejuvenated.

And Ray, the class act as usual. In the postgame, no hard feelings or bad words, which you expect.

This post is so far from dead on. It's pretty hysterical, actually.

KG is not well liked around the league, and he has himself to blame for that. But you know who does like him? His teammates, former teammates and coaches. Isn't that far more important?

And what the **** does "KG is just pandering to Boston fans so they hold him in high regard as his career winds down" mean? That's just a baseless statement. He's going to be a 1st ballot HOFers and will go down as one of the 20 best players ever. I don't think he needs to pander to anyone.

Also, I'm not sure how Ray and KG's situations were much different (you do know Ray's older, right?). Both were free agents, and both signed what will effectively be their final contracts. The only difference is that KG chose to re-sign, while Ray opted to go to Miami.

Oy vey. Ray's the only one who's been talking about all of this. He got his deal with the team he's wanted to be on for a while now, he could just stop talking about his hurt feelings if he wants to. The only reason this is still a story is because Ray keeps it going.
