"After leaving behind an almost-great team 10 years ago, Heat veterans and old friends Ray Allen and Rashard Lewis find themselves competing again for the championships that eluded them in Seattle..."

Lewis knew Allen’s pedigree. “He could shoot the hell out of the ball more than anything,” Lewis said. “From watching him play when he was at Connecticut, and when he was with Milwaukee with him, Sam Cassell, Glenn Robinson. They battled Philadelphia in the Eastern Conference finals. I definitely remember Ray for that — but a lot of people remember him as Jesus Shuttlesworth from making that movie.”

Nice long write-up on Ray in his Seattle years and today. Lots of focus on his training and routine. Enjoy!

Thanks.

Didn't read the whole article (very long), but what I did was excellent.

Ray Allen is such a great role model, professional, and mentor. He is great for the league in so many ways.

He reminds me of another former Husky whose name escapes me...........

There's one total BS part of that story. In the Game 6 loss to the Spurs, Duncan hit the game-winner with 0.5 seconds left. Ray had no time to do anything but fling a desperation shot right off the catch. They portray like it was some sort of normal corner three that he could've made. It was a prayer.

love to see Ray come back as a coach for KO

Honestly, I'm not sure Ray would be a very good coach. He's so far beyond neurotic in his preparation that he might smother guys. If he wasn't in such good shape, he'd have had an aneurysm from having to change his routine ever so slightly when playing for the Cs. I'm not sure he ever got over it. Let's just say Ray isn't very flexible.

He's said he wants to go into acting after he retires.

Given his obsessive preparation, he'd probably be able to do it. Practice lines and expression over and over and over and over and over....

What a buzzkill, I thought the Heat signed Rashad Anderson!:)
I too thought this was a first name typo, rashad was from Florida, so I thought maybe he talks with Ray and got a ticket to the games in San Antonio

What is the knife man up to these days, anyone know?
