Looking the best he has all year, he knows what time of year it is, im sure going against KG and Pierce doesn't hurt. This could be his last season, I think he does play next year but not for the Heat.

Didn't he sign a 3 year contract?

Imagine Ray coming back home to be part of the staff?

Its a cool idea but I cannot picture Ray getting into coaching, HOF players just don't make out to be great coaches, it would just be kind of odd to have an assistant be more popular then the head coach.

Agreed with Ray maybe not working out to be a great coach but you know who I've had in the back of my mind for someone of interest a ways down the road? (Wait for it......).......Shabazz. Hard work and dedication, would make a great coach when he's old enough. Who knows where his NBA career will take him but he's shown mass quantities of leadership and coaching ability while he was playing. Imagine that...KO grooming Shabazz 15-20 years down the road, ala HOF HCJC did to KO...

Hoping Ray gets a gig on ESPN. We need representation and it's sad that two dukies are our biggest cheerleaders and everyone else there is indifferent or flat out haters.

I have gotten past caring what Espin thinks of us. When Ray's career is over I see him getting into acting he already has in with Denzel and Spike Lee with films. I would love to see Ray play another 2 years so we can all say Ray at 40, it is amazing how long he has played, when he entered the league there were players from the golden age era still playing, we have had UConn players go into the NBA who started their career after Ray and are now finished while Ray is still playing.

I don't care what espn thinks of us. I do care about UConn getting the proper national attention it deserves.

Ray is a great guy (yes, I hung out with him a few times during 98-99 season - he was on campus a lot given NBA player strike and he dated a friend of mine) and he never took what he called "his god given talent" for granted and it's done him well.
