Ranking Trivia Challenge Questions

Back at the beginning of 1993-94, UConn began a run in both the AP and Coaches polls that continues to this day for 21 seasons. And on 12/25/2006 in the Coaches and 2/4/2007 in the AP polls they began streaks of being in the top 5 in the rankings.

Question 1 is: Since the beginning of that 2006-07 season, how many teams have joined the Huskies in the Top 25 rankings every week in those 8 years in the USA Today-ESPN Coaches poll?

Question 2 is: Since the beginning of that 2006-07 season, how many teams besides UConn have been in the top 10 of the rankings every week in the USA Today-ESPN Coaches poll?

Well yeah on Q2. But Q1 has a populated dataset, but it's not too deep. There have been some other good teams in the last 8 years. Some even have fans who post here.

Obviously TN (q1). They've been in the top 10 most of that time, although I thought they dipped below during that time (q2)

I'm guessing Stanford wasn't out of the top 25 over that period, nor ND, nor Baylor.

Okay, a combined right. Duke from ndmb and Baylor and Stanford from Phil. All three have stayed pretty well within the top 25 for the last 8 years in part due to BG, Ogwumike sisters, and also a lot of AAs. None had any serious bad patches.

UTenn had the Ball State issue in 2009 when they dropped from 23rd to an NR, and Notre Dame has been ranked every week in every year after they went 20-12 in 2006-07 in a season where they were non-ranked all the way.

Note that Duke has a streak of being ranked that would seem incredible except for UConn. The Devils have remained in the rankings since the beginning of the 1997-98 season.

Yeah, though to be exact, the bounce back was more from that year than that loss. The last time UConn had been ranked that season was a bare tie for 25th on January 12, so it wasn't really the loss that made them unranked. But starting off with a fresh new season, everything was peaches and cream and roses and the road to the NCs lay open before them.
