1) Louisville - still undefeated, which is worth something. This team is a year away from being really good, and I am actually kind of glad they are not in the national champion discussion because getting blown out by Oregon or Alabama would not be good for the conference. I predict they will play an Oregon State or Texas or someone like that in a BCS game, which is a better matchup for them.
2) Cincinnati - should have blown Syracuse out. Legaux is good, but makes a lot of mistakes. They outplay their opponents by more than the final score indicates, or in the case of Toledo, outplay their opponents and then lose.
3) San Diego State - Has played well this year, and is returning a lot of talent next year. Only losses are to pretty good teams, and has shown they can pull out close games against good teams (Nevada, Boise). Recruiting remains lackluster considering the region they are in.
4) Boise - It is hard to recover from the losses they had last year. Still a good team though, and will challenge Louisville for the league crown in 2013.
5) UCF - still #5 by default. Good team should have pulled out either Ohio State or Missouri. Winning those games is what turns a good season into a memorable one.
6) Rutgers - decent team, nothing special.
7) Navy - quietly having a good year after a rough start. No great wins, no bad losses. @Troy will be a tough game for the Midshipmen.
8) Temple - young team seems to be wearing down as the season progresses.
9) USF - how Skip turned a team with this much talent into a 3-6 squad is worth further evaluation.
10) SMU - playing a little better as the season progresses, but not nearly as good as we thought they would be when they join the Big East.
11) Houston - looks like Levine was a hiring mistake. Houston beat Penn State 10 months ago, and is regularly getting their doors blown off by middle of the pack CUSA teams. Great recruiting class coming in, although there has not been a commit since the season started. It will be interesting to see if the class holds together.
12) UConn - season and record speaks for itself.
13) Memphis - terrible
