Ranking of the last 25 NCAA champions

Title should have been “From a Dookies Perspective ... “

Love how the ‘99 Championship is downplayed. If Duke had won that game it would have been minimum Top 3 and probably No. 1.

And 2003 Cuse better than our 2004 championship? C’mon!

Having that Villanova team in the Top 10 is an absolute joke ahead of either 99 or 04. 99 team was 16-2 in a real Big East league and beat what could have arguably been the best Duke team ever in the NC game. 04 ripped up opponents once they had a close to 100% Okafor and were loaded, Nova would've gone down to them just like GTech.

Crazy they didn't mention UConn in the UCLA NC in the 103-97 game which was one of the best all time in the tourney.

Is this list based solely on which team dominated the most or had the most NBA talent? Those teams usually make for the most boring forgettable title runs.

These lists are always subjective, but this one is particularly horrendous. Not only are all of our team ranked poorly (except 2014) but several others are, as well. I’d put our teams more like this: 11: 20-22, 04: 8-10, 99: 3-6. As for 03 Cuse? Should be closer to 25 than 10. 96 Kentucky should be in the top 5, same I’d say with 07 Florida and 08 Kansas (and to an extent 09 Carolina). Last year’s Nova team, Maryland, (imo) 12 Kentucky and of course 01 Duke are all too high. Variations of this ranking champions list have been made repeatedly, but this is the first one I’ve seen to deviate so badly from a semi-established pecking order.

Agree. In each listing the author mentioned how many players went to the NBA. The first sentence for the 99 team is how great a team this was but only had 1 first round pick. For #3 Florida he mentioned the NBA talent even though Donavan himself said they were not a great team. The 99 team should have been higher.

03 Cuse ahead of 04 UConn ? Lol.....the 03 Cuse team couldn’t beat the 03 UConn team.

The 2004 UConn team had 6 NBA first rounders on it, and it didn't make the top 15.

I strongly suspect this kid started watching NCAA ball in 2010 and the rest he doesn't really know much about.

Yeah, this list is suspect.

He actually went to USCe and hasn't a clue from his ratings.
