Battling cancer. They mentioned pancreas and liver. That doesn’t sound hopeful. He’s just much too young. Hope he’s at peace with this.
Edit: the cancer is between the pancreas and liver, in the bile duct. Don’t know whether that’s easier to fight. Pancreatic cancer is a death sentence. My sister-in-law was given a year, and lasted 6 weeks.

With the tumor being of the bile duct, it could be a cholangiocarcinoma (what Walter Payton had). If caught early, a resection and survival may be possible. Once spoke to a leading surgeon at MSK in New York, he opened up a patient and had to close them back up since that cancer was too advanced. Bile duct tumors are horrible.

unfortunately by the time it is detected, pancreatic cancer is well entrenched. I’ve only known one person who was diagnosed and lasted 5 years. He was one of the most upbeat and optimistic people I’ve ever met.
