Radio City Christmas Show

Has anyone ever been to this? Yesterday was my first time and I have to say it was an audio/visual spectacular. They have that Sphere technology going on so stuff is flying all around the building and ending up on stage. Lotta very clever visuals, impeccable execution. But after a few numbers, I realized that the entire show is pretty much built around sex. They know what the crowd wants and they're going to give it to them but they're going to have to wait. And let it build. And when a dance number inevitably climaxes in the kick line the crowd goes in a frenzy. You get that release 6 or 7 times during the show. And a manger scene. It was really quite something.

Yeah, I went a few times when my daughter was younger and she loved it every time. Too bad you didn't wait until the tree was up and 5th Ave was in full regalia. It can be a really nice full Christmas day.

On a side note, a good friend of mines daughter tried out to be a Rockette. She said it was BRUTAL and they don't get nearly the respect they deserve for the physical practice and efforts it takes to be part of all that.
