New York city music scene maverick, SNL music director, eclectic music producer and all around interesting fellow died of Covid 19 like symptoms this week. SNL cast and alumni gave him a nice sendoff at the end of their virtual show last night. Moving tribute by a host of former and current stars. Tom Waits said "he had a heart like a reliquary". Love that phrasing.
