Total Offense - 106/128 - 361 YPG
Run Offense - 113th - 125 YPG
Pass Offense - 64th - 234 YPD
Sacks Allowed - 109th
Red Zone Offense - 84th
Pass Completion - 66th (58.1%)
Yards Per Catch - 74th - 12.1 YPC
Punt Returns - 74th - 7 YPR

Total Defense - 71st- 415 YPG
Rushing D - 26th- 125 YPG
Passing D - 118th - 290 YPG
Turnover Ratio - 101st - -.44

Executive Summary - Other than stopping the run, we do nothing well.

Offensive Analysis - Despite complaints about passing (64, still relatively poor), the run game game (113) is very poor. We are 109 in giving up sacks. Stats support what we know, the line is abysmal.
Our pass percentage is middling and yards per catch is middling. Sheriffs is absolutely average at best, but hardly not the worst of our problems by the numbers.

Defensive Analysis - Our Rushing D is very stout (26). Our passing D is atrocious (118). The D is not creating turnovers while the O is giving them.

Coach Analysis: Diaco is full of shiite, and getting paid approximately 1.5MM too much. His bend don't break, breaks. Limit turnover ratio and no mistake philosophy not working. No Bobby, you are not only what your record says you are, the stats also show you what you are.

A couple of comments. Pass offense is 64th, but rushing is 113th. Need a better run game, but we really only have 2 recruited RBs active on the roster in Newsome and Johnson. We need more RBs. I can't see our rushing improve unless we soften the defense with the pass game. We have to use the TEs in the pass game a lot more to loosen up the LBs. And, we need more skilled players involved in the offense to keep the defense honest.

On defense, we have not played well and not pressuring the passer has really hurt. But, UConn has played some good offenses this year as ECU is 12th, USF is 13th, Syracuse is 25th, Houston is 33rd, and Navy is 43rd. The 2 FBS wins this year were against Cincinnati (86th) and Virginia (97). So, we have struggled against good offensive teams.

Fortunately, the last 3 games are not against good offenses: Temple 68th, Tulane 108, and BC 122.

Noel Thomas is excellent though.

That and the run D are the only real highlights.
