Correct me if I am wrong, but my understanding is that UConn's two consecutive losses were over two seasons. That is, they lost their last game of the 1992 tournament, ( BTW 63 teams each year lose their last game), then lost the first game of the 1993 season. If so, then my question is, when was the last UConn lost two consecutive games IN THE SAME SEASON?

Ken is correct. The loss in the BE tourney was probably to Miami....they were good for a few years back then.
The first game of the ensuing NCAA tournament was against Louisville....in Storrs...lost 74-71. I was courtside for that game. Rebecca was a soph..Jen and Jamelle were frosh...Rebecca started and I think Jen and Jamelle did too.

It was to Providence.

For those wondering when the last back-to-back regular season losses?
Just a year earlier, in 1991-92, then they lost THREE in a row!

The ONLY other time Geno lost more than 2 games in a row, was in his 1st season, 1985-86.
The Huskies finished on a 5 game losing streak, then lost in the 1st round of the BET. Then lost the 1st game of 86-87.
Seven game losing streak.

Take out Geno's 1st year and there have been
1 three-game losing streak
7 two-game losing streaks
