Second season. A fast-paced action show about a Mexican woman (Teresa) who is forced to be a drug mule but through survival skills and a cunning ability to talk her way though anything rises up through a cartel to become a leading figure (not #1, that's later).
No slow, dragging plot lines. The actors pretty much stay within the same acting range but do it very well.
The plot features a Mexican governor (Epifanio Vargas) running his cartel but now is kind of being strung along by his military leader. The governor's ex-wife Camila) is trying to establish her own cartel in Texas but Epifanio keeps her down as much as possible. Last night saw Teresa and two colleagues enter Bolivia to find a drug lord supplier. Things didn't go well.
