I broke down and purchased the SNY package so that I could
1. see the games (duh) and
2. to quantify the discussion that I have been having with Doggy.
Per my observations, I have to largely agree with King Grandpa.

Using the method of attempted shots (whether made, missed, blocked or a foul called...the intent is the thing), I noted clear 3's, layups and 2-point jumpers to which I added 'floaters.'
Some of Steff's inside shots are hard to quantify (between layups, floaters and jumpers) but I have done my best to distinguish.

In all in the first-half of the Marquette game (to the best of a one time look), UConn attempted 38 shots 14 were 3's; 15 were layups and 10 were 2-point jumpers .
among them were:
-2 by Steff, a shot she regularly takes,
-several by KLM after offensive boards , one intentional attempt, and one by her that was really a 3
point attempt where she stepped on the line and
-attempts (1 each by Stokes, Mo Jeff, and Kelly).

During one segment (between timeouts) the Husky's took 8 shots; 4 layups and 4 threes.
A sequence more in line with my theory
I recall that Geno was positive about the shot selection in this half; I'll continue to quantify this issue from time to time.
