Anyone know how Purvis and Cassell are on defense?

I know that's a knock on Hamilton (we'll see what Ollie and Ricky can do for that aspect of his game), but the first two are coming in more ready than freshmen.

Just curious about the other two.

RP has all the physical skills to be an outstanding defender (quick feet, strength, great hands etc.) and over a year of tutelage under Coach Ollie and the experience of routinely covering Shabazz Napier, Boat and TSam in practice. I have no doubt that he will be a good defender.
For incoming players, it is always tough to know how well they defend. It is not something that is emphasized on highlight tapes. However, he also has good size, has the pedigree that he should have a great knowledge of the game and years of experience (probably started bball at age 2).
DHam also has all the tools to be a outstanding defender (size, quickness, great hands etc.) and he has played against his brothers most of his life. I expect that we will see his defensive ability improve significantly over the course of next year.
Omar also showed signs of being a very good position defender during stretches last season.
With a healthy Brimah, some more development from Nolan and some time in the weight room from Facey and we will be a very good defensive team.
