Purvis AAC Player of the Week

UConn's Rodney Purvis has been named the American Athletic Conference player of the week.

Purvis scored 16 points in the Huskies win at Texas on Tuesday, and 20 in the win at Tulane in the first conference game on Saturday night. He also had six rebounds in the two games.

It's the second weekly honor in a row for the Huskies. Daniel Hamilton was player of the week last week.

Every bit of confidence he can get will help him with his free throws in my opinion, and that's what's holding him back most. I also hope he keeps crashing the boards like he has this past week, it was a sneaky boost for us.
