21-17 PUR end of first

Looks like we have a game here.

Not Clarks best effort so far.

44-39 Iowa at the half

Clark 14 pts, 5 reb, 3 ast, 4 TO, 2 stl

Diagne (reminds me a little of Fowles)
10 pts, 3 reb, 1 ast, 1 TO, 3 stl, 1 blk

Iowa leads 63-61, going to the 4th. Purdue nailed a THREE at the 3rd quarter horn.

Wow, this is a bit of an upset if Purdue pulls it off.

19-4 run for Purdue...Boilermakers lead 75-69 at the 4th quarter media timeout.

Quite a game in Iowa City. Hawkeyes now on an 11-2 run. Iowa leads 80-77.

Iowa has gotten away with many over the back rebounds.

80-77 Iowa with 2:27 left

I think Purdue is getting tired.

Iowa pulling away. 1:06 left...timeout Purdue. 84-77 game.

Bad choices by Purdue over the past few times down the court. They've lost the game because of those choices.

Purdue had a six-pt. lead and Clark was out of the game. Then Warnock goes nuts.
But Purdue's offense consists of the two best outside shooters simply sitting in the corners and their forwards can shoot outside 10 feet. Oops, I saw an "ehh" screen for McLaughlin.

Iowa tried something new. Instead of getting behind big early and then rallying, they fell behind fairly late and then rallied. Cardiac kids this season.

87-81 Iowa final

Clark 26 pts (8-20, 2-9 3P, 8-12 FT), 9 reb, 4 ast, 6 TO, 3 stl, 1 blk in 30 min

Diagne 16 pts (8-11), 10 reb, 1 ast, 1 TO, 3 stl, 1 blk in 32 min

It’s interesting that Diagne received no FTA as a big, and Iowa had the FTA advantage of 31-9.
