We looked completely unprepared for the full court pressure that Cincinnati applied at the beginning of the game.

Full court pressure should be an opportunity to get an early easy shot, an open three or a dunk. Get the ball in, fly up court, get the ball to the middle, attack the basket or pass to the wing for the trey. Instead we would get the ball in, hold it, move slowly out of the back court, and set up the half court offense. Our approach will only encourage full court pressure by our opponents.

Of course, being prepared for the press and having a plan to punish it is the first step. If we learned anything versus the Bearcats, it that this problem must be fixed. The good news is that this can be fixed, it's more about approach than execution. We have to attack and punish the press. We are sure to see it again.

Put the young players on the floor. Gafney, Bouknight, Akok, Adams, and Vital. You will see an instant press break. They will play D also..
