Very nice win
well stated.......you have to like how this team is playing of late. most importantly, love the team's chemistry. they seem to really like each other and are having fun out there. love the energy, the defensive pressure, ball movement, etc. it took a while and i still don't understand what happened down in texas but when it matters most, this team is playing its best ball. i really believe this team is poised for a nice run in march.

Very strong game all around. It was great to see Facey and Samuel get some prime time minutes and play with poise.

Ya Texas is in a rear mirror. . They are starting to fire on all cylinders. .

Ok no more car analogies
We seem to go through something like the Texas trip every ear. Most seasons we tend to start out strong , falter somewhere in the middle and come on at the end. Kara Lawson said that the middle of the conference season was the most difficult time for her and many players. We are playing very good basketball right now and our defense and rebounding has improved. We have 2 good games left with SMU and Cincinnati and if we win both you would have to say we had a great regular season. Even if we split those games we will be in great shape heading to Memphis. We definitely have picked up the energy level.

Texas
Really is the loss to Houston. SMU is undefeated at home and counting that as a bad loss is stupid.
We had just come off Finals when most college kids are looking forward to R&R .( there is a reason for that break )they played Stanford and laid an egg. That has happened in the past Stanford really didn't play any better. We just sucked.
They then Flew to Washington and played.
They flew back to Ct and Played a game in Bridgeport than flew to Texas
brimah was hurt and Nolan was sick. TO was our best 5 in Texas.
These are kids. That schedule coming out of finals was brutal. Why the surprise at losing a road game given the situation.
We got a tough break when DD didn't plat at Cinn.
If we won that game we would be one game back with a return game against them.
My guess is we would be playing Ville for the AAC 1 seed in our last game.

I can forgive the SMU loss, but the Houston loss still sticks in my craw. We'd be in a much better national position if not for that loss. The Stanford loss isn't too bad - they only lost to Arizona by 3. They have a bunch of other losses, some head scratching, but our only really bad one is Houston IMHO...

At any rate, sweeping Memphis is really solid for this team and we certainly seem to be playing much better ball of late. It also seems the rotation is slimming down. Not seeing much of Olander, Facey or Samuel. I don't think that's a bad thing as we enter the AACT and the NCAA's...
