Imagine being in Geno's shoes now.....how proud he is of his girls, and wow, he sure has a right to be. The togetherness and caring for each other was established almost immediately. The post that mentioned how all the players huddled together so Autumn could change into her Big East champ shirt. Everyone has been hit by this horrible pandemic, some more than others. but the bonding of these girls into pods and how they meshed as teammates is such a great story. Most of us who follow the posts here have to have a warm feeling deep inside regarding how they bonded. Of course, there may have been moments that we aren't aware of, but for the most part we somehow feel a part of the this UConn season. Forget the fact that the big dance is approaching, somehow there is a movie plot in all of this. All of the adult staff, and there are many, should be sharing the proudness of this band of sisters. We know what we have in Geno and coaches and that a lot of Americans across the country want us to lose. Why is Geno disliked? He knows what it takes to win....there is so much that goes into running an organization and succeeding. His basic philosophy has paid off big time thru the years and you can feel the stress when when watching some of his press conferences. He's a tough nut, but I think kids like Paige, AE, and NM are making him change with the times. This kids kind of get under your skin. Yes, I want a NC, but let's not go crazy.....let's celebrate this year's story.....We will start getting nervous in again in a few days.
