Caught a sequence on ESPN. DanO was talking about Mitch Trubisky. He said there is a big difference between valuing the ball and protecting the ball. When you protect the ball you are avoiding a mistake at all costs. You pass up open receivers and tight windows. You play timid. If you value the ball you can still play aggressive and you will still make an occasional mistake. But you are not reckless.

He could have talking about Zion. Or perhaps, Charlton.

Watch the first two minutes of the attached video. Tell me the Huskies didn't jump immediately to mind.

Not sure how charlton went from walking on water to wearing floats on his arms in the baby pool, but ,,,

It’s hard to be creative when every single tool u assembled for the toolbox is unavailable.

Our best hope is to survive next 2 games, get Nate back healthy and go back to pounding the rock against lesser opponents. It is what it is, but wishing aint gonna make ZT or what’s left of the receiving crew any more ready to play meaningfully in 23.
