Just wanted to post props for the essential elements in tonights win.

It gave me a good feeling to see how the team responded when ND tried to come back at them in the 2nd half.

Stef was also a very important contributor with her defensive efforts and especially in clogging up the middle. Oh, did I forget to mention that she made Peters a non-factor?

Not much that I can add about KML, that hasn't already been said by other posters, except to say thank you very much.

IMO, Bria is the heart of this team and UConn basketball.

She was simply terrific tonight.

I haven't seen the Box Score yet, but I have no doubts that Tiff was our leading rebounder.

She was especially effective, in the 2nd half, on the offensive boards tonight.

IMO, her work on the boards kept us in control of the game.

Peace,

John Fryer

Good post by JF, especially remembering Tiff's contribution under the boards...her athleticism was huge tonight, a key part of our win!

Tiff fights like no other, and Bria has True Grit! Everybody contributed, really.

And KML had some of that "shot magnet" stuff going on again tonight :D

I agree with about everything John Fryer said except Bria being "the heart of UConn basketball". That sounded totally weird. She may be the sparkplug of this team and the guts and gumption of this team but in the context of his remarks, it sounded like he wasn't talking in the moment but in the history of the program, which obviously wouldn't make any sense. She deserves a lot of credit for her fire and energy and resilience but that specific phrase didn't register with me at all. The heart of THIS TEAM, maybe but not of UConn basketball.
