For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn plays their 39th game of the season against the South Carolina Gamecocks in the first Final Four match-up in Phoenix at the Mortgage Matchup Center 4/3/26 at 7:00 PM ET. This is the 17th match-up between the two schools with UConn winning 11 of the first 16 games, including the last two game last year 87-58 on 2/16/25 in Columbia, SC and in last year’s Championship Game in Tampa, FL 82-59. The Gamecocks are currently 35-3 and are seeded as the 4th #1 seed in the Tournament. Their three losses against Texas in the Players Era Championship in Las Vegas, NV on 11/27/25 64-66, at Oklahoma on 1/22/26 82-94 in OT and vs Texas in the SEC Championship game in Greenville, SC on 3/8/26 61-78. This should be the closest game of the Tournament so far for the Huskies. In the first 16 games between the two teams South Carolina is averaging 62.9 points a game, while UConn has an average of 74.9 points. Vegas has UConn as a 6.5-point favorite and a total of 136.5 points, while Massey has UConn with a 51%-win probability and a score of 71-70. This should be a tight game from the beginning, hopefully UConn can win and get to another Championship game on the 5th.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 6:45 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted. The game is on ESPN.
The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or South Carolina/Gamecocks. No "85-55 the good guys", if there isn't a winning team stated in the prognostication it will not be counted. Once your prediction is posted If you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post, NO changing of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the scheduled closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed. If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
I hope that Sarah plays, and I believe that UConn will limit the Bluejays’ scoring and this game will not be close. UConn will play all available players, and everyone will score. Huskies 71 – Gamecocks 62.
