For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
First, I want to apologize for leaving off bantamlaker for their point off the MOV and giving the MOV point earners a score of 15pts vs the actual 12pts that was earned. The changes have been applied, and the correct standings is posted in the Tournament Game 1 standings.
UConn plays Villanova the #5 seed in the first Semi Finals game at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT. The Wildcats 73-63 win over Marquette, is 18-13 and 11-7 in conference play. This will be their third chance this season try to beat UConn. The Huskies won both meetings, first an 83-52 win at Finner Pavilion in front of 6,501 fans on 1/5/25 and 100-57 win in Gampel Pavilion with a 10,299-sellout crowd. With the way that UConn has been playing since their win at SC, the Huskies should win with a larger margin of victory than the previous two wins. Nova is coming off their Marquette victory and is playing less than 22 hours later so UConn will be more rested than Nova. The Huskies will keep their lockdown defense going like they did against St. John’s and should improve on their shooting percentages against the Wildcats, especially their 10.5% from behind the line. UConn shot 2-19 from 3, plus they missed 7 bunnies and still won by 31 points. Geno will get it straightened out in the morning walk through and have them prepared.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 2:15 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted.

- The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or Villanova/Wildcats. No predictions like "85-55 the good guys", will be accepted if there isn't a winner stated.
- If prior to the closing of the Prognosticator’s Predictions, you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed.
- If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow Prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
- This game won’t be close, I believe that UConn will play all available players and everyone will score. UConn 98 – Wildcats 56.
