For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn plays their third game of the season against the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers out of the Atlantic 10 Conference in Gampel. These two teams have only played once back on 12/9/95 with UConn walking away with a 74-22 win in Storrs. Loyola-Chicago is currently ranked #184 by Massey and is 1-1 so far this season with their win against Massey rated #295 WI Milwaukee 59-55 and their loss against Massey rated #79 WI Green Bay 55-46. The Huskies are considered a 100% win with a score of 88-36 by Massey. Their team consists of 2 SR, 3 JR, 5 SO and 3 FR. They have only 3 players over 6 feet, two of them average a combined 5.5 minutes. Their highest scoring player averages 10 points a game, the best all-around player averages 4.5 pts, 6 rbds, 3 asts, 3 stls, and shoots 44.4% from the field in 21.5 minutes of play. Geno added this game after trying to get a match with someone from one of the Big 4 conferences with no takers. The practices between the FSU game and the Loyola-Chicago are going to be 3 times harder than this match-up and Geno will make sure that the team is not overlooking the Ramblers with the Ohio State game up next.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 7:15 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted. The game is on TRUTV.
The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or. No "85-55 the good guys", if there isn't a winning team stated in the prognostication it will not be counted. If prior to the closing of the Prognosticator’s Predictions, you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the scheduled closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed. If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
I believe that UConn will limit the Ramblers to less than 40 points while maybe scoring over 100 points. In this game no starter should play for more than 25 minutes. UConn will play all available players, and just like they did against FSU, everyone will score. UConn 112 – Loyola-Chicago 39.
Attached is a copy of the Prognosticator's Predictions Rules and Scoring System – Tournament criteria, please read it so that you are familiar with the game rules. Good Luck to all you Prognosticator's out there and have some fun.
