For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn plays their season opening game against Louisville the first ever Women’s Armed Forces Classic originally scheduled to play at Ramstein Air Base in Germany is now at the Alumni Hall at the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Last year UConn defeated Louisville 85-52 in the Shark Beauty Women’s Championship Classic at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Only 16 of the 85 points came from three players that are no longer with UConn, Paige 8pts, Kaitlyn 6pts and Qadence 2pts. The remaining 69 points are all returning, with some added firepower that did not play due to injuries or are new to this year’s team. While Louisville has a total of 28 points that has left the team with only 8 players returning who scored the remaining 24 points. The Cardinals have only two starters from last year’s game returning. In last year’s match-up UConn led from start to finish outscoring Louisville 72-33 the first 3 quarters before the Cardinals won the 4th qtr 19-13. UConn’s team appears to be already performing well enough to give Louisville some major problems in this season opener for both teams.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 5:15 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted. The game is on ESPN.
The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or Louisville/Cardinals. No "85-55 the good guys", if there isn't a winning team stated in the prognostication it will not be counted. If prior to the closing of the Prognosticator’s Predictions, you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the scheduled closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed. If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
I believe that UConn will limit Alex Giannaros scoring and this game won’t be close. I see UConn getting a fast start from the jump and end up playing at least 10 players and possibly every available player by the end of the game. UConn 90 – Louisville 58.
