For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate with your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
The Huskies travel to Cincinnati to play the Xavier Musketeers at the Cintas Center which was built in 2000 and holds 10,250 fans. UConn may have more fans than Xavier, they are currently averaging 535 fans at home. The Musketeers are 1-20 and 0-12 in Big East play a full 12 games behind the Huskies. The only team that they have beaten this year is Massey rated #302 SIEU 68-43. Their BE home losses are DePaul 55-76, St. John’s 42-60, Seton Hall 47-61, Butler 57-90, Providence 60-69, and Creighton 46-77. Their road losses are Villanova 45-86, Marquettte 52-81, DePaul 47-79, Georgetown 49-77, St. John’s 55-67, and Seton Hall 62-86. With UConn’s blowout loss to #1 South Carolina, I would hate to be the team that is next on the Huskies schedule. Xavier’s SoS by Massey is 79th and rated 289th, UConn's SoS is #2 and is rated 4th. They average 29.1 rebounds, 10.7 assists, 6.9 steals, 1.7 blocks, 19.6 turnovers, 36.9 FG%, 67.7 FT%, and have a 29.1 3pt%. This versus UConn’s average of 38 rebounds, 22.3 assists, 9.8 steals, 3.2 blocks, 11.9 turnovers, 53.0 FG%, 78.7FT% and have a 37.6 3pt%. Offensively they are ranked 266th while defensively they are ranked 191st vs UConn being ranked 4th in offense and 5th in defense.
Xavier has 7 SR's, 2 JR’s, 1 SO and 3 FR’s, so they do have somewhat of an experienced team. In their last 6 Conference games the Musketeers have started the same 5 players in 4 of those 6. If the request for change is submitted prior to the closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed.
- If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow Prognosticator has been missed by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
- I don’t see UConn having any problems with the Musketeers, they will wear them down by the end of the 2nd quater and get conference win #13. UConn 102 – Seton Hall 40.
