For those that are new to the game and others that have forgotten it is requested that discussions other than prognostications of the game should be posted on other threads that your discussion pertains to. If you wish to prognosticate your prediction that is okay if you post your score. The winner/s will be posted soon after the game’s completion.
UConn plays their 12th game of the season against #5 USC at the SOLD OUT, XL Center. The Trojans are currently 10-1 with their only loss being at home to the Irish 74-61. The only other ranked team that they have played so far is Mississippi, winning 68-66 in Paris on two late game free throws by JuJu Watkins. UConn won their game against Ole Miss 73-60 also on a neutral court on 11/27. The Huskies have played USC only once, winning last year 80-73 in the Elite Eight against the Top Seeded Trojans in Portland. Their SOS according to Massey is #38 vs UConn’s #5. The only loss that UConn has is also to the Irish in South Bend 79-68. This game was without Azzi and it was one of the worst 3 pt shooting nights that I can ever remember.
One of the keys to winning this game is to limit the other players while letting JuJu score her 24 pts a game. USC has played three teams rated in the Top 50 by Massey, they are #10 ND, #32 Ole Miss and #43 Oregon. They scored 61, 68 and 66 with JuJu getting 24, 27 and 21 points in those games. The rest of the team scored a combined 37, 41 and 45 points. The other is for UConn to hit their threes on a regular basis, they don’t have to shoot lights out 58.8%, like they did against ISU, but they do have to shoot better than the 18.8% when they played ND.
All predictions and any changes must be submitted by 7:45 PM Eastern. Any submitted after the cut-off will not be accepted.

- The winner must be named, either UConn/Huskies or USC/Trojens. No predictions like "85-55 the good guys", will be accepted if there isn't a winner stated.
- If prior to the closing of the Prognosticator’s Predictions, you wish to change your prognostication you must submit a new prediction by stating that you wish to change your previous prediction and provide the post number of the original post. If the request for change is submitted prior to the closing of accepted predictions, you will receive a "like" letting you know that it was accepted and changed.
- If someone believes that they have been missed, or someone notices that another fellow Prognosticator has been by the gamekeeper, then it must be brought to the gamekeeper's attention within 24 hours of the posting of the winner(s) game thread.
- If UConn plays with the intensity that they did against ISU they win. I believe that UConn will play more on the level of the ISU game than the ND game. UConn 81 – USC 61.
