Prognosticators Game 21

South Carolina goes down in emphatic fashion. UConn by at least 25. Any cohesive intensity from even a decent opponent exposes them. They’ll be gassed by half-time.

This game is not that important to SC. They have Miss St next.

UConn 81-57
Beg the dif...this is huge for SC. Recent losses have taken the sheen somewhat off the 17 trophy. If they don’t at least give UConn a serious run for the money their season gets arduous.

For as good at this UConn team is, they seem to have their opponents play out of their minds in front of their screaming fans. The crowd makes this closer than it really would be: 82-70 with KLS playing well. Z, Pheesa and Gabby focused on shutting down A'ja who will need to pass out of the double. Kia will be on Tyesha Harris (underrated player for this squad and should be All-SEC) and limited A'ja options. The over/under on Dawn referee scowls is 8...

This is SC chance to quite the sceptics on last year's NC, but they will fail. UConn 88 - SC 71.

When you get stomped by a team every year believe me, beating them becomes important. You mark that day on your calendar. I actually think the starters will be leading by more, but Team 2 will pull them back to the mean.

Special Request: If we are leading SC by enough by halftime, I might be able to channel surf the TAMU / TN game in the 4th quarter to see another loss. Their game is 30 minutes earlier.
Record it and watch it later.

Dawn has already conceded the loss based on her post game statements saying UConn isn’t nearly as important to her or the team as it used to be. Conference games have far more importance so no biggie if they lose. Now that she’s won a championship the pressure is off and she can enjoy the ride. Doesn’t sound like a championship coach to me but she is one. Like Geno says “it all starts with having good players”
She is living proof.

SC too unidimensional to beat The Huskies, especially since Geno long ago determined how to brilliantly employ a collapsing defense on A’ja that keeps her frustrated. SC just isn’t all that good this year, and will lose by 20, 80-60 about right.
