Just saw this in a HS JV girls game. Basket, big catches it as it goes through and step out at the baseline. She hands the ball back to the guard to in bound, stepping across the line and ref blows the whistle. []

Speaking of taking the ball out following a make, when I played organized bball ('60s) you needed to "establish position" out of bounds before passing it in. Both feet had to touch the ground completely outside the lines. Did this rule actually change somewhere along the line?' I see an awful lot of times when a team is running that the person taking it out gets one foot down outside the line -- sometimes on the line -- and doesn't even clearly raise the other one from the floor before passing it in.

Yeah the rule changed at the same time they switched peach baskets to metal rims.
