Smith had 8 assists to 1 turnover and shot better from the field than Alex did in that game.

I don't remember any of their perimeter players being good. But he was definitely better than the rest of them.

Yeah they pretty much got shut down. Any kudos to anybody besides Edey in that game is revisionist history.

It’ll be interesting to see what Smith does this year without Edey. I’d be curious to what % of his assists last year were simply dumping it in to him on the block. Edey also got so much attention that he created a ton of space.
This year could be a significant fall for Smith as it will test he real ability not all the fluff he got from having Edey on the floor with him.

Braden averaged 12/6 on 44/43 shooting as the 2nd option, Karaban averaged 13/5 on 49/38 as the 3rd/4th option

I’m surprised AJ Storr is so low on the list, unless they’re assuming that he’ll have lower production at KU
Otherwise seems like an inoffensive list. Guys on bad teams/mid majors may be getting underrated but that’s just the nature of bball media. Makes sense Karaban would get the nod as he’s now the leader of the back to back national champs after 2 years of starting on those teams
