I believe this team now knows how good they really are. This year Sarah will find out and believe to her how good she really is and take off AA worthy through the whole season. On paper, this team is unbeatable. Yes, there are many capable teams out there, but there is only one UCONN and UCONN is back!!!!Dynasty NO.3 coming to UCONN and this team may go down as one of, if not the bast ever. I believe!!! GO HUSKIES!!!!! GO ALL NEWBIES!!!!Is it just me or does Azzi sound much for confident in her demeanor now?
Winning a national championship and being named MOP might just have something to do with that. 🧐Is it just me or does Azzi sound much for confident in her demeanor now?
I hope we see the big line up return this year.A couple intriguing tidbits from the media interviews. Geno indicating that Kelis may be the fastest player on the team 🤩 and Sarah working some at guard. 😎
UConn doesn't even have to go big to play big.....Sara, Ayanna and Blanca would make for a very formidable front line.......I hope we see the big line up return this year.
Throw in Caroline and Morgan (if healthy) and you have the All 6'2" lineup. Tall, but fast and plenty of shooters. That would be a hoot to see... 😀UConn doesn't even have to go big to play big.....Sara, Ayanna and Blanca would make for a very formidable front line.......

How about if she plays the 1 sometimes. I have watched enough end of the season videos to say that she could handle the PG spot, at least on offense. And it seems that Geno is planning on using Sarah at the 2 or 3 , at least sometime, or why would he be having her work with the Guards. Imagine that our star "big" last year could show up in some games as a PG or a 2 this year.Sarah, Caroline, and Blanca are the "Hybrids" who are playing some guard. We could have some huge lineups, especially if Sarah plays the 2 or 3!
Although I think Jana played some of her best basketball last year when she had a true big adversary.Probably the biggest lineup would include Sarah and Serah, probably with Jana who would be the biggest question mark. I think there is no question about Sarah being a very good 3, and Serah being a very good 4 if Geno teamed them that way, so the main question is if Jana will be good enough to play that trio together.
Otherwise we could still see Sarah at the 3, keeping Serah at the 5, and playing one of the natural 4's there, either Ice or Ayanna. Whether S squared is 3/4 or 4/5 depends on what the best third option at that time. It could be a big like Jana, a more natural 3, say Blanca, or a true guard at the 3 like Ashlynn.
I sometimes wonder is Sarah could be moved around depending on where she had the biggest mismatch. At the 5 many big slow players would have a lot of trouble defending her on the perimeter, and she obviously could post up most all 3's if she was playing there.
Wonder if Phee may have talked with Gino or at least aware of his thoughts before her "scorched earth" comments on the W's leadership.I found Geno’s comments about his team to be very interesting, but his comments about the physicality of the WNBA to be even more so. I would not be surprised if those WNBA comments get some traction in the national media.
Basically, saying don’t blame the refs, this “style” of play is a choice that is on the league itself.
I think Sarah can basically play any position. She is quick, has excellent footwork, soft hands with eye coordination that can swipe and steal a ball faster than we can see it even in slo-mo many times, an excellent perimeter shooter, stellar rebounder, - I can go on and on. She will provide Geno many options this year and I believe depending on what's needed he will use all of them. We are in for a year seeing a Sarah that is more than amazing, UConn nation is in for a treat. As ESPN's popular play-by-play sportscaster Ryan Ruocco said before last year's championship game: "Get your popcorn ready!"How about if she plays the 1 sometimes. While she might have trouble with small, quick guards (HH at ND, or Eads at SH) she could dominate teams whose PG's are around 6'0". Her defensive skills and quick hands would present a huge problem for teams with mid-sized Guards.
The primary reason I could see her only playing the 3-5 spots is the talent we already have at the PG & SG spots (KK, Azzi, Ash, K-9 and AZ with a few minutes here and there for Caroline).
