Listen, everyone’s loves this guy for all he does for UConn spirit, his entire existence beyond his family and close Uconn buddies is UConn, and while I don’t know his medical condition I hope he has good enough doctors to do whatever they can to get his weight down(there are drugs now) and try to improve his health and keep him around for a bunch more years. ( easier said than done I know).
That was a beautiful piece and I got a bit sad toward the end of it. I want #7 for myself but I think I want it for Big Red more now. No one loves this more than he does.

I haven't watched it yet but I'm hoping those who have can answer this for me. How do you fill up a mini-documentary about a guy that does a UConn chant a few times a game? Isn't the story basically "Had a bunch of beers when I was young, started doing this chant, people liked it and I haven't stopped since?" What else is included that we didn't really know or is that interesting about it?

I have no idea if Tom was at the UCONN / ND football game - but I remember going back to work the Monday after the game - my boss was a big ND guy - and he said he was sick to his stomach hearing the U C O N N chant on national TV as we beat the Irish in South Bend. The chant is so much bigger than just basketball...

I don't believe beer was involved.

It follows the tried and true principle of "tell them what you're going to tell them", "tell them what you want to tell them", then "tell them what you just told them". Squared.
