A real good game, hard fought defensive battle is my prediction. Referee's play a big part if they let them play and Brimah doesn't get the usual tick tack fouls vs Goodwin it will help us in an attempt to pull off the upset at their place. It will be rocking, you know they want a piece of UConn really really bad…….let's see what they're made of…..big boy pants

Memphis 78-68. I don't think Memphis loses at home tonight in front of 18k after getting whooped by Cinci in their last home game. Everyone saves their best for us.

Tough situation for our guys to walk into. If we win, my thoughts on this team and it's potential will skyrocket. Right now, I don't see us having what it takes. If Amida remains a force, I like our chances against anyone but I'm not convinced he can play consistently after one big performance. Go UConn.

What does Amida bring tonight? Can he come close to duplicating the ucf game? Will the refs give him a fair shake? They seem to anticipate fouls because of his shotblocking ability. Needs to start earning some respect from the ref's and they aren't quite sure to make of him yet. I think we pull this off tonight , don't know why I feel that way other than being a Uconn fan. 72-68 dog's.

Tough tough game. Memphis doesn't lose too often on their home court. The game doesn't ride just on Brimah or just the refs. To pull off a win in Memphis, we need to have everyone clicking together on all cylinders. UConn 87-81 2/OT.

Too much pessimism.

Shabazz has a huge game, close to triple double.
3 headed monster pulls a solid 10/10, at least.
DD goes for 18 and 10.
Team gets off to quick start.
UConn in game the entire way.

The offense is stagnant, Shabazz tries to do to much, bigs get in early foul trouble, and DeAndre is invisible. Memphis jumps out to a huge lead, we make a late run but its not enough. 78-66 Memphis. Joe Jackson and Shaq Goodwin have huge games.

Hope I am wrong.

Hell freezes over and plays are set up specifically for Giffey who goes 5-12 beyond the arc, forcing Memphis to perimeter coverage which opens up middle for Brimah and DD. UConn 65-61.

Or not.

18,000 screaming fans go home sad. Except for the husky fans of course.

73-68 Memphis, hostile environment and uconn allows to many double digit scores.

On the flip side we beat them at our place.

It's really hard to beat a good team on the road, even if you are elite. A win would be a huge leap forward for this team IMO. I'd be quite happy with standing toe to toe for 40 min and getting nipped.

Sad to say, I'm with hoophound on this. Brimah needs to show he can bring it night in night out and against good competition, not just against Central Florida and its ilk. I think this is too big a hill, on the road, Memphis bouncing back from an embarrassing loss to Cincinnati...Bottom line: Memphis 78 UConn 63.

I think a key to victory is Ollie getting on the refs and getting T'd up after Amida's first foul. Even if he rips the guy's head off. Stand by your man!

Also,
Bazz shows up the full 40 as he is want to do for big games.
Boat keeps up his solid play and honors his slain friend.
Brimah continues to improve.
Lasan is steady.
Improved interior play opens up Neils for some shots.
And most importantly... OMAR's COMIN

I wouldn't be mad at Ollie for getting a T the next time they call a foul on Brimah for standing still. I don't know what it would do though. When Calhoun got T'd the refs got a message - I'm not sure Ollie is there yet.
