Hey all,

I haven’t been to the xl center in a while and I am wondering where to go pre eat and drink a few beverages. I called city steam and they said they don’t open until 3. Any recommends?

The Tavern on Ann Uccello St. right behind the XL will be open at 11, Vaughn's on Pratt at 11:30 (I prefer Vaughn's). Or you can hit the XL when it opens and grab a seat in the end zone bar. It might be better than your ticketed seat. This is what it looked like when I did so earlier this season:

At that hour it's going to be tough. Since Front Street took over, there are less eating/drinking establishments around the XL, and many of them will open up as they see fit. Vaughn's on Pratt Street should be open and would be my first option. Not sure if the Russian Lady will be open, but worth a check. My plan would be to do a quick walk around of the XL area spots, and if nothing is bueno, do what Waquoit said.

That would be so much better at Gampel.

Agave Grill is open. Good drinks and food. They do brunch on weekends.
