Portland, ME to Portsmouth, NH

I'll be driving back from Quebec (start of August) going via Portland to Portsmouth - where I'll stay overnight for 2 days. Any must sees/do in that area? I don't mind going back up to Portland and then down to Portsmouth again next day.

Both are good eating and beer towns, though I would stay in Portland over Portsmouth as there is more to do (Clambake, Sea Dogs, Caso Bay sailing, etc.). Just time your drive home as Sunday afternoons as the York ME and Hampton NH tool plazas can be brutal traffic wise.
