I've been a Red Sox fan since 1977 or so and this win last night takes away the bad memories of me in 3rd grade watching Bucky Dent hit that home over the green monster. GO RED SOX!!!!!!!

I remember that game in 1977 as well. That game was filled with so much more passion after many years of the Sox failing to win the World Series. I was even in Yankee stadium for the Righetti no-hitter against the Sox on July 4, 1983. I am still a fan of the Sox and love it when they win especially against the Yankees but losing is not as difficult as it used to be. Seeing 4 World Series victories in the last 2 decades has helped.
