Unlikely. You need to be a high level athlete, shot blocker, be gigantic, or shoot 3s to make the NBA usually. The exception would be a guy like baynes.. but Carlton is not half the defender he is, and would probably only be listed at 6'8 with the new nba rules
I put maybe just because I'd love to see it happen.
No but that's ok. Hes going to have a solid career here and graduate with a degree. He'll go on to make a Lot of money overseas and he'll be fine. Ive like him from the first time I saw him and he has not disappointed.
I will be his biggest advocate, but.the way the league has gone, he is exactly the type of player that has trouble finding a place in todays NBA game. I hope I am wrong. Either way, he will have a terrific career overseas and make a great living if that is what he wants.
He’s a poor mans Rod Sellers. That’s not an insult. Rod was an excellent four year big man. But even Sellers had a bit more fluidity and explosion than Josh. Carlton has some skills, but he’s super mechanical in everything he does. That’s not NBA quality.
Why? People have made good points. I am a big Josh Carlton fan. I was thrilled with his production as a Soph. But I have to agree that Josh is probably an overseas pro. There is no shame in that.
