Sean Spencer - Texas A&M D Line Coach. Hartford born and raised. Also nicknamed “Coach Chaos which is rad.

Matt Patricia - High risk high reward candidate. Think he’s washed off some of the stink from the Lions job with the job he’s done at Ohio State. Northeast guy.

Chris Petersen - Coach with past success coaxed out of retirement from a TV studio job. Sound familiar?

this poll lists some guys, some guys with a position, and some positions with a guy. I clicked Other

Michigan State just fired their coach and Fitzgerald is their targeted replacement. It may have already been informally agreed to before they fired Jonathan Smith. That one may wrap up quickly. If Michigan State is an option, he's not coming here.

A proven program builder with deep ties to the University of Connecticut and the Northeast.

Dan Hurley.

Stop It Neil Patrick Harris GIF

Jumbo Fisher, if we can afford him and he wants to prove he can still win. A big name and elite recruiter that would give the program more national exposure & legitimacy. The past allegations that he bought players is all legal now anyway. It’s actually a plus skill to have in today’s game

You’re not wrong about his skills but jimbo also creates chaos wherever he goes. He might spend a year here, do great and leave the program much worse off once he leaves.

Some of the names in the poll are intriguing for slightly different reasons. Golden for his pro ties and northeastern recruiting ties. Gundy and Fisher for their recognizable names in the coaching world, especially in the South and Midwest where we might be able to recruit better.

Some of the other names that continue to pop up, I don't want (such as Moorhead). We need a name that will be able to help us recruit better from both the portal and the high schools. "X's and O's" guys are great, but we need people who can continue to improve our talent level on both sides of the ball...
