Just curious what the general consensus is for the outcome of the game tomorrow.

I suspect "not good."

Honestly think we are gonna come out and play well. We aren't as bad as a loss to an FCS. As much as no one wants to hear it, Towson isn't just another FCS this season. They are a good team.

On the other hand, Maryland is also not as good as their first 2 scores would indicate. FIU and Old Dominion. That's who Maryland has played.

We went to Maryland last year and took care of business. CJ Brown is the only difference for them. We lost a lot defensively, but I also don't think we are going to be sub-par on that side of the ball. Our offense has also gotten better.

Road wins over Maryland and Teddy Bridgewater's Louisville squad indicate to me that we can play with anyone. The vast majority of the team is back. I don't see a blow out by anyone, including next week.

Maybe I'm optimistic. Maybe I'm crazy. Maybe I'm delusional, but I also may be right.

It's either going to be UCONN by a little or MD by a lot. I went with UCONN b/c I haven't packed it in (yet) this season, but boy....this one could hurt a lot and next week's game could get downright disgusting.

Not sure you can go by those 2 scores. CJ and the starters were sitting by mid 3rd quarter or the scores would have been much worse. Now, FIU and ODU are not defensive jugernaughts so the post has some merit.

CJ is listed as the #3 QBR (97.3) after 2 games.

It will certainly be interesting but I got to believe that is a huge difference. Your true freshmen QB may be the real deal, but think about it in terms of having to start him tomorrow, what impact would that truly have.

The challenge I think you will find, as FIU and ODU found trying to look back to 2012 as comparison, RE has assemlbed some serious skilled talent and right now, everyone only knows the name Diggs. Brown and Long are difference makers as well.

Think back to when we lost by one to UVA down at their place, and then came back the next year and blew them out at the Rent. Now we don't have a Donald Brown, but I just expect a pumped up performance from this crew and a rowdy home crowd. Caveat, I was not that UVA home game. I was in Maui on my honeymoon.

Given the general malaise and negativity on the boards, I'm kind of surprised it's (currently) about a 50/50 split on who wins. Though most people who think Maryland will win think they'll win big.

Yep, but my point was imagine. That said, not sure how much longer PP goes with Whitmer. A QBR of 108 right now and statiscally the exact same from last year. If PP is going down, not sure he does it standing still.

Whitmer, with an offensive line that can protect, is the best QB we've had since Dan Orlovsky. Would like to see Boyle redshirt and Whitmer play out the season, but who knows what will happen.

I didn't vote cause I have no frikkin' clue. I could see any of those four scenarios happen.

I can't remember ever winning a game big (non-FCS) since PP took over.... but I agree the other three options are a toss up. Pass me some of the Kool Aid UConn07 is drinking and GO HUSKIES!!

I agree with the point spread of MD -7. I think honestly we are, talent wise, as good as MD. We have Home Field. 24-20 us. Last year we had a real bad game against the Orange and RU and beat Louisville. I expect a good game.

I like UConn to cover. You're never as bad/good as your last loss/win indicates.

I just can't shake the vision of Towson OL pushing our D-line back on their heels at will. Maybe their line is better than MD's.
