As much as I hate seeing a call in the last seconds to decide a game, I hate seeing how the game is called changed from half to half even more. Like you said I get why they do it, to regain control if things are getting chippy, but it ultimately destroys the flow of the game after the teams have adjusted to what is being called and what is not.
