I understand that Hurley often has to put Whaley in at the center position to spell Carlton, but I'd like to see some lineups where we slide Akok to center and let IW play at the 4. It's not necessary agaisnt teams like UNH, but against teams with bigger frontcourts, Whaley is at a decided height disadvantage in nearly every matchup. I believe he's listed at 6'8'', but even that seems generous.

Whaley at 4 sounds like a good thing to try. Move Akok to a 3 Bouk at the 2 and Gafney at the 1. We need to win NOW.

I like to keep those Whaley minutes to a minimum. No need to find more for him.

You desperate for Akok at the 5, put Polley at the 4. At least it'll clear out the middle

It would be worth a try if you had an opposing power 4 that no one else could handle. Other than that i wouldn't do it. He has to stay fresh to provide energy when replacing Carlton. Energy seems to be one of his biggest assets in recent games. A coach only has so much energy, like Whaley has demonstrated, at his disposal and he must monitor it carefully.

The amount of minutes Whaley is receiving seems about right. He does bring some energy off the bench, but his D isn’t all that great and his Offense is limited. Coming off the bench suits him.

I would like to see Akok and Sid playing together at the 4-5
I wouldn't. Against small teams it might work, overwhelming them with athleticism. But other than that, no.

Think of all the alley oops!!
Alley-oops happen because the defense has to vacate the space under the basket due to perimeter threats or ball and player movement. Not sure there'd be many of those.

We really haven't had many successful alley-oops since Bazz to Boat.
