Players' vs. Coaches' leadership

A thread on MBB board got me thinking about something Geno (and DT?) said a few years ago, related to team leadership. If leadership does not develop naturally within a few players, then sometimes the coaches have to do it. Does anyone remember this from either CPTV/SNY Geno shows? Thanks.
