Above all else, kudos to the players for sacking up in the second half.
This is a group of 80-100 kids aged 18-22 who have gone through a bunch of everything the past twelve months. They're good kids and they're not stupid. They read social media, blogs and forums. They've heard whispers, there's and they had a real crappy half.
It'd been real easy for them to say fuuuccckkkk it and mail it in. A loss means no bowl game, and in three weeks they'd be done with everything for the year. For all the greatness we've seen from the men's basketball teams', we've all witnessed a few of them folding up and not finishing strong. It happens to the best of organizations. To the credit of these players, they didn't.
Instead, they played the best half of football I've seen from them all year. And all the credit goes to them believing in themselves, the coaches and the program.
And for that I'm thankful.
