Sheriffs should be in shotgun given the rush. We should be throwing more to our receivers and tight ends. Or screens to rb's. Our db's should be playing much tighter like Miichigan did. Much too much space given. Our O Line blocking calls seem disjointed. I don't get it.

Hate to break it to you, but we might not run the table.

We need a receiver to catch the frigging ball.

Total BS that BYU is ignoring play action on 3rd and 12. They're supposed to bite, freeze LB's and slow down the rush.

They have to respect the play action.

Yes we need to call a play that does not lead to a pass bouncing off a receivers hands. Cmon coach -- stop calling the play where the receiver drops the ball

Screw play action, it was a passing down go shotgun and attack. I am not happy with the slow play calling resulting in short play clocks and confusion. Two games in a row for this.

They aren't mutually exclusive. We are running dumb stuff, then failing to execute it.

Play calling isn't the reason our OL plays the "Olé Technique"... You can compensate some with some other plays, but at some point the line just has to do their job and block.
All the more reason to go shotgun on 3rd and 16.

Need shorter quicker passing plays. And BS must stand in and deliver.

Now that was execution including BS avoiding the rush.

Based off of Diaco's comments about going with the hot hand, I think it's safe to say that Max and Arkeel are getting all the second half snaps.

Max had a nice pick up on the blitz that led to Arkeel's TD catch.

Love to see us come out with different offensive sets and faster speed of play in third quarter. Make BYU question their defensive alignments. Our receivers will find their rhythm (and swagger) in second half. If our OLine blocking assignments get corrected and Max D. and Tommy M. can help OLine in protecting BS avoid the rush we can have a big second half.

Horrible play calls deep in our territory. Short passes to tight ends would have been great. Home run to Thomas and long over middle into double coverage to Beals sandwiched around run up the middle. Pitiful calls.

Why do we always call a draw on 1st/2nd and long? It's not just this game either. I think I've only seen it work once.

3rd down call on 3rd and 1 was horrible. Line up hats and get the yard.

UConn's 3rd and short play calling has been bad all year. It has to improve. It's always a long drawn out play.
