Live stats:

4:53 left 1Q...NC State on a 9-0 run, all THREEs, two by Raina Perez and one by Kayla Jones, to take a 14-5 lead.

Question/comments for State fans:

1. Where is Crutchfield? I know she’s on the floor, but it seems like her production has all but vanished this year.

2. NC State is underrated as a three-point-shooting team. All five starters can chuck it and make it. Particularly impressed by Jones and Cunane’s abilities to do that given their positions and size.

End of 1Q...NC State leading 22-10. NC State was 5 of 6 from THREE in the quarter.

Kai has some back and wrist issues. But since about mid-season, Coach Moore has stressed that SOMEONE needs to step up and defend, so she has taken on the onus of being a solid defender..shooting when the shots are available but concentrating more on defense. She has hit a THREE today.

NC State has started off 7 of 9 from THREE...by five different players. Raina Perez has three of them.

33-16, 2nd Q media timeout. NC State is 8 of 10 from THREE...and only 3 of 13 from two!

Raina Perez (3), Kai Crutchfield (2), Kayla Jones, Jakia Brown-Turner and Jada Boyd have all hit at least one THREE today.

Pitt showing why they are the top offensive rebounding team in the ACC, and 3rd in the country. They miss a lot of shots but they get tons of second chance opportunities.

Elissa Cunane hit a THREE. NC State is 9 of 14 from distance now.

Halftime: NC State with a 41-26 lead.

Elissa Cunane 11 points and Raina Perez 9 for NC State, which shot 45.2% from the floor, and 64.3% from THREE. Cunane also grabbed 7 boards.

Pitt led by Emy Hayford and Jayla Everett with 5 points each. 8 different players scored for the Panthers, which shot 31% in the first half and was 3 of 11 from THREE.

30-8 in Q3 if I saw the score correctly. Pack rolling in this one.

83-53 NCSU final

All NCSU starters had double digit scoring.

NC State tied a program high with 16 made THREEs from 8 different players, which IS a new program record.

My apologies. I was hit by a wave of exhaustion and had to lay down for a nap at halftime.

NC State played 12 players; 9 scored...5 reached double figures.

As hard as it is to believe...this was the first season since 1978 for NC State to be undefeated at home.

That is hard to believe... cause State had some excellent squads in the 90's. But as far as being undefeated this year... it's because .... well I'll let you figure that out ;):p:D:)

I know. Because we didn't play High Point.

Naw... thats not the reason., I forget if Duke and State were gonna do a home and home this season. Now you got me thinking... have HPU and State ever met? High Point has played at Duke and in Chapel Hill the past 2 seasons...why not make it the Triangle trifecta next year.

NC State is 6-0 against High Point. The two teams last met on November 15, 2015, an 89-48 victory for the Wolfpack Women. The year before, NC State had scraped out a 4-point win over High Point.
