Watching the Pitt vs. Va Tech game... the stadium still looks like a typical Pitt crowd. I don't understand what the big draw was for them. Wasn't the B1G looking at them for a while too? Do they have a large alumni base and/or college football tv market? Comparing this game vs Va Tech to the Rutgers vs. Michigan game or Rutgers vs. Penn State game its night and day which conference would be better for UConn, regardless of fit.

If we ever get into the B1G we will look at the snub by the ACC as a huge blessing.

I hope we do a better job containing Ebola than we have you.

Your act was much less tiresome when you were only on the basketball board.

Didn't watch this game since the Patriots were on and surprisingly struggling to beat the Jets. But yeah, Pitt crowds are humorous. 1/2 empty stadiums for every game that they don't play against Notre Dame or West Virginia (because the other 1/2 of the empty seats are filled with ND or WVU fans). They don't move the needle anywhere other than amongst a VERY few people inside the Pittsburgh city limits.

In the defense of the Pats, they did lose their best linebacker that was key in stopping the run and the pretty damn good running back. I expect a lot more games like this one from them.

Pitt is exactly like all the old "tradition" schools. Living off the past success and championships, but has done nothing in 30 years.

Pitt says attendance was 43,125. B.S.

It might not have been 43k but as far as Pitt goes it was a pretty decent crowd. The upper deck wings were pretty much empty but the lower bowl was mostly filled.
