Always nice to see a small-time program like a Providence get a shout out from a Hall Of Famer like Pitino ;)

Well they do have just over 4,000 undergrad students, so they are pretty small.
 
PC is a small school. Nothing wrong with that. So is Villanova.

Which makes it even more impressive that they can compete at a high level with less resources.

All the Big East schools except for us are small catholic universities.

That isn't true either.

DePaul
St. Johns
Georgetown

are all solid mid-sized universities in the 15k to 25k range.

UConn is slightly larger when combining all the campuses (32K)
