A major reason is that almost all bigs get into foul trouble with alarming frequency, so they need backups. And you really can't expect to replace Olivia, Aaliyah, Amari, or Ice with someone like Aubrey or Mir, who really cannot be expected to contend with the Aliyah Bostons and Tamari Keys of the WCBB world. So if Piath can give Natalie Butler minutes (similar in quality and quantity) by next year or even the following year, that will be very definitely needed -- and she will get that opportunity.
